INTERREG in the European Union
INTERREG is a European Commission initiative financed by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund).
The aim of this programme is to strengthen economic and social cohesion in the European Union through cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation.
The INTERREG initiative is implemented in three parts:
Part A: CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION
Part B: TRANSNATIONAL COOPERATION
Part C: INTERREGIONAL COOPERATION

In the European Commission, the "Regional Policy" General Directorate assumes responsibility for this initiative.
